The Wahpeton Wahppers put on a show in Sunday’s rematch against Mantador, slaying the Monsters by a score of 20-0 in the road victory.
The Wahppers have now won three straight games by the 10-run rule.
Tori Uhlich, Caden Kappes and Skyler Bladow scored three times each atop the batting order. Cooper Klosterman joined his former Wahpeton Post 20 teammates with three runs of his own from the No. 7 spot in the lineup.
Jake Uhlich pushed his average above the Mendoza line with a productive day, batting 2-for-4 with a game-high three runs batted in, matching Chayse Randle in the RBI column.
Uhlich was untouchable on the bump, dealing a one-hitter across seven shutout innings. The righty fanned seven batters and issued one walk during the complete-game win, firing 66 of 99 pitches in the strike zone.
Jack Davies went 3-for-4 with a double and four total runs. Sterling Warne joined the party with a pair of walks and two runs scored. Ryan Loewe picked up two hits, two runs and two RBIs.
Wahpeton has caught fire at the plate following a slow start to the summer, pushing its record to 6-5.
The Wahppers return to the diamond Wednesday with a 5 p.m. home game against the Sabin Mets on B 92.7 FM and KBMW News Live YouTube.
