Breckenridge senior running back David Erlandson, fresh off a Minnesota All-Star Game victory with the North roster at US Bank Stadium, has been selected to the Minnesota High School All-State Team.
Erlandson, a 2,000-yard rusher, made the esteemed list of 32 players across all seven classes of Minnesota football after leading the Cowboys to their first Prep Bowl since 1995.
Made up of the state’s premiere senior prospects, the team is selected by a committee of sportswriters, broadcasters, Vikings staff and Minnesota high school football coaches.
Erlandson is Breckenridge’s all-time leader in single-season rushing yards, season/career touchdowns and yards per carry.
The Cowboy is continuing his illustrious prep career on the wrestling mat this winter for the Breckenridge-Wahpeton Storm.
He announced his commitment to play football at Bemidji State University during Tuesday’s Optimum Athlete interview with Turner Blaufuss at KBMW Studios.
