Another change has Davies back on top in 11AAA and Minot North remains first in 11AA in this week’s North Dakota Associated Press Sportscasters & Sportswriters Football Polls, released Monday.
Davies rolled over previous number one Shanley 42-22. The Deacons had been the last remaining undefeated team in 11AAA. The Eagles received 18 of the 20 first-place votes, with Horace taking the other two. Shanley fell to fourth.
In 11AAA polls this season, the same team has been top-ranked in back-to-back weeks only once.
Including the preseason rankings, there have been seven 11AA polls this year, and unbeaten Minot North has been first in all of them. The Sentinels are 6-0 after a 43-0 rout at Watford City. Minot North garnered 16 first-place votes. Kindred, second in the poll, gained the other four.
