The Wahpeton Huskies football team is still searching for its first win of the season following a 49-14 road loss to No. 3-ranked Grand Forks Central on Friday.
Wahpeton hit the half trailing 21-14, before running out of gas in the final two quarters. Cayden Barth took a 96-yard kick return to the house and Brayden Steffens caught a touchdown pass from Jack Gilbertson.
Wahpeton returns home to Frank Vertin Field this week for a matchup against Grand Forks Red River. The Red River Grain Pregame Show begins at 6 p.m. with a 6:30 kickoff to follow on AM 1450 and KBMW News Live YouTube.
