Nick Terfehr, 40

Nicolas Richard Terfehr, lovingly known as Nick, was born on October 3, 1984, to Audrey and Richard Terfehr, and he left this world too soon on September 25, 2025. As we gather to honor and remember him, it is impossible to reflect on his life without recalling the many ways in which he touched our hearts and enriched our lives.

Nick was more than just family—he was a remarkable man whose presence left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. A devoted husband, he cherished his wife, Shelley, with unwavering love and support. As a loving father, his pride shone brightest in his daughter, Remmy, who was truly his greatest joy. Nick often spoke about the sweetness of baking chocolate chip cookies with her, a simple but profound testament to his belief in creating cherished memories through everyday moments.

Nick graduated from Breckenridge High School in 2003 and went on to complete his degree at Northern State University in 2007. Nick found solace in hunting and embraced the challenges of farming—two passions that connected him deeply to nature and the land.

Known for his quiet strength and gentle spirit, Nick embodied kindness in every facet of his life. His loyalty as a friend was unmatched; he was always someone others could rely on. The warmth of his heart and the sincerity of his actions expressed a depth of character that will never be forgotten.

Nick’s life was filled with meaningful relationships, including those with his brothers, John and David, who shared countless memories and adventures with him. He leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever echo in the hearts of his family, including his parents, Audrey and Rick, who have been pillars of strength.

In honoring his memory, we invite friends and family to join us for a visitation at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Breckenridge, MN, on October 3, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM. This gathering will not only celebrate the beautiful life of Nick but also allow us to share the stories and memories that define his spirit. Though he has departed from this life, Nicolas Richard Terfehr leaves a legacy woven with love, laughter, and kindness—qualities that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Nick is survived by his wife, Shelley and daughter Remmy; his parents, Rick and Audrey; brothers, David (Sara) Terfehr and John Terfehr; his in-laws, Raymond and Margaret Pearson; brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Lorna Pearson; and niece and nephew, Larie (goddaughter) and Jaxson.
