
Shanley now tops an ever-changing 11AAA football poll, while Minot North stays on top of 11AA in this week’s North Dakota Associated Press Sportscasters & Sportswriters Association rankings, released Monday.
Shanley received 16 of the 18 first-place votes to become the fourth different team to be on top of the 11AAA rankings this season. The Deacons outlasted Minot 54-34. Last week’s top-ranked squad, Legacy, lost 14-13 to Horace. Davies moved up to second in the rankings and received the other two first-place votes.
The top five in 11AA are unchanged from last week. Minot North, who has been the top team since the preseason poll, garnered 16 of the 18 first-place votes. Kindred received the other two.
