Three Breckenridge-Wahpeton wrestlers placed at the North Dakota Class A Individual State Tournament held at the Fargodome this weekend.
Jackson Burchill was the top BW finisher, taking fourth at 285 pounds. The senior ends his season with a record of 36-10. He lost a 7-2 match by decision in the third-place match.
His fellow seniors, Hunter Owens and Aidan Ruddy, each ended their careers with a win, finishing fifth at the state tournament. Owens was in the 138-pound bracket and Ruddy was a competitor in the 152-pound weight class.
Owens won his match by an 11-3 major decision to finish with a record of 27-14.
Ruddy’s 7-3 win by decision gave him a 34-9 on the year.
